WOOL MUSLIN

Hand brush dye on wool muslin.  Fabric design and dye by Ryoko Fujii @fujii+fushikino.     
 
Wool muslin was first imported from England and used for Japanese casual kimono and underwear (ie. slips). They had been very popular in the early 20th century.
  

 

 
One of the fabrics was made into a shawl by Pearl Greige Studio.
